Enjoy Your Journey--There's Life Beyond Your Teenagers!
For the work at home parent who loves to enjoy life cooking or gardening, or even taking up a hobby or craft, I hope you'll also enjoy the tidbits I share here. I hope you find my site thought provoking and informative. A stay at home mom for 21 years, raising 5 kids with my wonderful husband, I realized last year that I had been out of mainstream too long! Technology had been happening all around me, and it was time to get on board. This is my journey, and I'm so not done.
My love has been my family, but I bet I'm not alone when I say that raising teenagers eats your brain. In the process of giving my family everything my experience, soul, and ability offers, I'd neglected my professional life. No, I didn't sit on my butt eating bon-bons all day, there's nothing easy about the decision to stay at home and raise your family.
Well, guess what? I love to write. I love everything about it. I love to garden, cook, excercise, craft, teach, and most of all, I have realized that I love to learn. I've been copywriting, blogging, and absorbing information like a sponge, and it really is rewarding to learn to write differently. My children, on the other hand, have decided that I am no longer a mother. It's frustrating to realize that my kids only saw me for what I was doing for them, only to tell me I never did anything for them at all when I didn't continue to "do."
I don't need a box of bricks dropped on my head to know when I've spoiled my kids. I'm going to share with you through this blog what I've done over the years. I hope you'll enjoy my perspective. Learn from it. I've got a lot to say. I love them, but you know what? I love me, too.
